     The State Board for Technical Education and Training conducts examinations for polytechnic students of Andhra Pradesh twice in a year. The paper correction work is not done centrally, SBTET distributes the papers to various colleges across the state for correction. The polytechnic colleges across state conduct Mini Spot valuation camp at their premises evaluates the papers and send back the corrected scripts to SBTET. As with the increase in the number of polytechnics, the introduction of Second Shift system in existing polytechnic colleges and engineering colleges the number of students appearing for exams increased greatly and the paper correction activity at the college become difficult task to manage. Information from official sources is that around 50,000 papers are dispatched to each college per semester for correction. There are three types of people involved in paper correction activity Examiner, Scrutinizer, Chief Examiner SBTET pays different amounts to this type of paper.
